We popped into Mariachi's for a late lunch after hitting up Yelp for a recommendation. Chips were on the table moments after we sat down. The menu, like most Mexican restaurants, is formidable. However i was very pleased to see items that were not simply the same tired twists of tortilla, meat, beans, and lettuce.
I was in the mood for something low carb, so I ordered the Mariachi salad with steak and extra avocado, holding the cheese and croutons, and added a side of cactus. I was a bit concerned as I've had salads at other Mexican restaurants where no cheese means no flavor. Mariachi's did not disappoint. The steak and pico de Gallo gave the salad an excellent flavor. I also enjoyed the nopales cactus as a side.
My brother ordered the Mocojete, which is alluring from its menu description alone. Its arrival did not disappoint, gloriously served in a piping hot stone bowl. Be warned, it's too much food for most single mortals! I can't comment on the flavor except that I tasted the cactus from this bowl and actually found it roasted even more to my satisfaction.
Definitely worth returning to Mariachi's next time I'm in town. -

Our party of 3 arrived on a Saturday afternoon ~1:30.
Walk in & a deep exhale; again - TexMex try too hard decor.
Yeah, we get it. Thx.
Pleasantly surprised by the breadth of the menu though.
No lunch specials on Sat/Sun.
Standard fare of chips and pretty good salsa arrives quickly.
Pops chooses Nachos Especial,
mi esposa the chicken chimichangas,
myself - I get the Nachos Carnitas.
Food arrives very quickly, very hot and, agreed amongst all, very tasty.
We decide the place goes onto rotation so we can work through the lengthy menu variables. We avg $9-10/head not incl drinks & tippage. -

Mariachi is my favorite Mexican spot in Bluffton!
This is a common stop when I am in the area. The restaurant is located on the south side of town in the same plaza as Kroger. The interior is fairly typical with bright colors and mariachi music playing in the background. They have a newer bar area and space for larger parties.
The staff is usually polite and quick. You are greeted at your table immediately with fresh chips and salsa. They offer drink and meal specials throughout the week. The margaritas are fantastic and you can't beat the price. A few of my favorites from the menu are the chimichangas and the fajitas. Everything always tastes fresh and comes out hot.
If you are looking for a good meal in Bluffton, check this place out! -

The food was halfway decent. But we did not get our guacamole or queso dip until the food arrived and only after we asked another waitress for our dips. Our waiter never once came and checked up on us did not bring us any extra salsa, He checked on other patrons on how they were doing with their food but not once came and checked on us. We probably would not return to this place.
